Maria Paz Sáez-Pérez

Mª Paz Sáez-Pérez has bachelor’s degrees in technical architecture (1992) and geology (1996) both from the University of Granada, Spain. In 2003 she obtained her PhD in science at the same university.

She is a professor in the Architectonics Constructions Department at the University of Granada. She provides expert reports on the pathology and rehabilitation of buildings, and conducts research on the application of science and technology to the environmental protection, conservation and restoration of monuments and cultural heritage.

The most important of these studies are on the Alhambra in Granada, the effects of termal changes on Macael marble, and the colour change in inorganic pigments found in restoration mortars.
