Barbara Gisi has a backgrond in Law (University of Basel, Switzerland). She has been director of the Swiss Tourism Federation (STV-FST) since 2013.

Previously, she fulfilled roles such as department head professional policies/equality/youth section and deputy secretary general of the Swiss Association of Commercial Employees; lawyer and deputy managing director of the Swiss Association of Medical Assistants and Senior Physicians (VSAO).
